These have been the mainstays in my art process going back to my early days as a practicing artist. I was schooled in traditional methods, incorporating line, form and composition into my psyche until it became second nature. Fortunately over the years I was blessed with wonderful teachers who also pushed me to reach beyond the safe boundaries of technique and commonality, and explore the deeper aspects of creativity.

My work utilizes varied media, depending on what message or image I am trying to convey, and which medium best suits that need. I have never been able to limit myself to just one type of art form or method. I regularly go back and forth from abstract to representational, printmaking to assemblage, self-portrait to political statement. Variety is an integral part of my life and, in turn, my art.
